Time Meddlers

S1 Ep1: Repairs
And so it begins...

The Timelord President, Borusa, selected Ashilon to be the pilot for the Netan soldier Raptor 7 as punishment for an earlier theft from a Timelord museum. He gave the two of them a set of coordinates for the last known location of General Stahl. As they left, they were attacked by an unknown assailant. They escaped unscathed into Ashilon’s Tardis, but a stray bolt of blaster fire hit the Tardis console. The Tardis enacted its safety protocols and jumped to a place it believed to be safe; the bridge of the human archaeological vessel, The Delgado. The Tardis then informed them that it needed to repair itself before locking them out to begin the process.

The team decided to explore the vessel and find out where the Tardis had taken them. After a brief search, the two encountered a Cyberman. They struggled against it until a human named Ross joined the fight with a gold spear, killing it. The three of them decided to investigate the artifacts on the ship to see if any more of them were made of gold. They found some gold coins, which they melted down and used to tip a few spears. The Tardis then informed them that it was repaired.

The team decided to escape, but they returned to find the bridge filled with Cybermen. The battle was difficult (leaving both Ashilon and Ross unconscious), but Raptor 7 managed to defeat the Cybermen almost single-handedly and return to the Tardis with his team mates and a mobile Cyber Planner unit in hand. However, the instant the Cyber Planner was placed on the ground, everyone was hit with an energy blast and knocked unconscious. The team awoke shortly afterward to find that the Cyber Planner had connected itself to the Tardis and let a group of Cybermen in. The Cybermen had taken the team’s remaining weapons away, as well as Ashilon’s book. The book had somehow been attached to the Cyber Planner unit, and the unit used it to create coordinates for the Tardis to travel to.

The coordinates brought the Tardis to the Timelord prison planet, Shada, where the team proceeded to have a conversation with someone (later revealed to be The Timekeeper) speaking to them through a device attached to the Cyber Planner unit. They discovered that President Borusa had decided to hide from some would-be assassins on the planet because it was possibly the most secure place in the universe. As this conversation continued, the Cybermen filed out and began attacking the Timelord President and his guards.

Raptor 7 left the safety of the Tardis to go after them and help the Timelords, and Ashilon stayed behind to disable the device attached to the Cyber Planner. As soon as the device was disabled, the Cybermen stopped trying to assassinate President Borusa and tried to cyber convert everyone instead. Using the Tardis, Ashilon materialized next to Borusa and pulled him to safety before doing the same for Raptor 7.

The team returned to Gallifrey to drop off President Borusa, but not before Borusa questioned them about how they came to be on Shada. He insisted that only someone with the right key can even reach the planet, and that only the Timelord President had access to that key. Neither side got the info they wanted, and Borusa left the Tardis to get back to his duties.

The team then received a message about a Sontaran sighting on Planet Hollywood, a human settled planet. Ashilon and Raptor 7 decided that it would be best to follow up on the lead right away, and ventured off to Planet Hollywood to both check up on the tip and drop off Ross somewhere safe.

S1 Ep2: Ice and Steel
The hunt for Stahl continues...

Ashilon, Raptor 7 and Ross landed on Planet Hollywood and looked into the lead about the Sontaran sighting. The locals led the team to an inventor, nicknamed ‘Old Man’. Old Man informed them that he is a Timelord, and that he had been stranded on this planet because his Tardis no longer worked. After following up on a few more leads, the team learned that the Sontaran seemed to be working with a local inventor by the name of Clement Yang.

The team seemed to exhaust all leads before deciding to see about helping Old Man with his Tardis. As they arrived, they encountered robots made from Timelord tech. After thinking that Old Man might be responsible for them, the team realized that he was harmless and the four of them worked together to stop the robots. They succeeded, and after analyzing the parts they found out that they were similar to the device used to control the Cyberplanner on the Delgado. After sitting out a snowstorm (and a conversation between Old Man and Ashilon), the team detected a Timelord distress beacon and went to investigate it. They correctly guessed that the beacon was part of an ambush, and they were prepared to fight off the robots that attacked them.

They analyzed the beacon and found out that it was Sontaran in origin before encountering Clement Yang and even more robots in a nearby cave. The confrontation was short, but Old Man regenerated due to his injuries. After Clement realized that he was going to lose, he called for a Sontaran named Commander Sarg. Sarg used transmat to arrive in the cave with a few other Sontarans and punished Clement for failing to capture Ashilon and the book, killing him. The Sontarans nearly defeated the team, as Old Man was still weak from regenerating and Raptor 7 was knocked unconscious by Commander Sarg for most of the conflict.

The Sontarans were about to defeat the team, but were recalled to the ship by General Stahl. The team rushed back to the Tardis and attempted to locate the Sontaran ship. The ship was somehow able to confuse the Tardis scanning capabilities, but they used Ashilon’s sonic screwdriver to trace the transmat signal. The team attempted to materialize into the ship, but they were unable to because it was time-locked. They returned to the cave that Clement had been working in and searched for new leads. After picking up the plans for the robots, a Sontaran Rifle (plus ammo), and the device Clement used to call the Sontarans, the team found Clement’s shop and searched it. They found a personal computer unit with a message sent to him by the Timekeeper, offering him a job and hinting that he is working with the Sontarans. The team then resupplied at a local general store, and Ross left the Tardis to find transport back home.

The remaining team members took the Tardis to Gallifrey in answer to a summons from Borusa. As Old Man acquainted himself with the changes to Timelord culture, Ashilon met with Borusa and found out that there were no new leads on the Sontarans. The team would instead be sent to Procyon Zeta to investigate a Timelord distress signal. Borusa promised Ashilon that if she would complete this mission, she would be pardoned for her crimes.

S1 Ep3: The Mystery of Procyon Zeta
A new threat looms over our heroes...

After returning to the Tardis and informing the rest of the team of their new mission, Ashilon set the Tardis to travel to Procyon Zeta. The Tardis landed, but something forced it to land on the planet Earth in the year 1937. After exploring the island and rescuing the recently stranded Amelia Earhart, the team encountered a rift in time. A voice came through the rift, asking ‘what now?’ before the rift closed. The Tardis was then able to operate normally again and the team left for their destination.

They arrived on Procyon Zeta to find a badly damaged underwater facility run by some Timelord scientists. After a bit of searching, they traced the distress beacon to an old Type 40 Tardis owned by Tovar. The team learned that Old Man was a friend of Tovar’s, and that they were around during the time of Rassilon thousands of years ago. They also learned that Old Man had a daughter named Susan, and that Ashilon was the daughter of Rassilon.

The team was surprised by all of these revelations, but Tovar warned them that they didn’t have time to stand around talking, as the rift was endangering all of time and space. The team (including Tovar and Bellacino) made their way over to the rift via a submarine. The ship was battered by Elijinn, the creatures that had been damaging the facility and destroyed the bridges between the two halves of the facility, but Bellacino managed to get them to the other side. As the team began setting up the materials to trace the rift back to it’s source, the rift widened and the Elijinn struck again. The team completed the scanner and started it up, but this widened the rift even further.

Another voice came from the rift and started to talk about an empire. Tovar stopped the scan, returning the rift to it’s normal size, but Amelia called out a warning that something had come through the rift. The team identified the creatures as Weeping Angels before stumbling back to the Tardis units while trying not to blink. They decided that they needed to speed things up, and reached the decision that they needed to repair Amelia’s plane and use it to draw the Elijinn away from the rift. They used Ashilon’s Tardis (with Ashilon, Raptor 7, Amelia, and Bellacino) to return to Earth and repair the engine on Amelia’s plane before transporting it back to Procyon Zeta. Amelia flew off, trailed by the Elijinn, but the Weeping Angels had damaged the sensor. Old Man went out to repair the sensor and succeeded, though the rift then sent out a wave of time energy. This time energy interfered with Tovar’s Tardis, leaving the statues unwatched. Old Man was captured by the statues and sent back in time.

Ashilon had the idea to use the connection between the Tardis translation circuit and Old Man to trace him back through time. She sent the coordinates to Tovar, and after sealing the Procyon Zeta part of the rift Tovar dematerialized and then returned with Old Man. Tovar sent Ashilon the coordinates for the source of the rifts (later revealed to be the planet Skaro), and Old Man told Ashilon that he had something for her that would allow them to find each other throughout time and space. Just as soon as Ashilon attempted to leave the Tardis, it was recalled to Gallifrey. The Type 70 was then locked down, leaving the team trapped on Gallifrey. Tovar said that he would handle the other rifts, and that they should meet him on the planet as soon as they were able.

Note: The Elijinn were the creation of Nicholas Cloister, whose blog can be located here.

S1 Ep4: Vengeance of a Timelord
Of things to come...

After a long wait, the Timelords let the team out of the Tardis to take them to Borusa (they were to be investigated to determine how they got to Shada). As they began to walk to Borusa’s office, Ashilon and Raptor 7 were picked up by a timescoop. They then found themselves on Gallifrey in the far future, and there was evidence of a large battle between many different factions. As they tried to determine what was happening, Old Man (now on his ninth regeneration) entered the room and told them to come with him to see the President.

As they made their way there, an announcement was made that the planets shields were down and needed to be repaired. The team turned around and got to work fixing the transduction barrier. After Ashilon had fixed the transduction barrier, Old Man made a cryptic remark about being trapped on Gallifrey and began to laugh. A group of Sontarans entered the room, and in the confusion, Raptor 7 began to question Old Man about his motives. After a tense few minutes, they determine that the Sontarans were working with the good guys, and agreed to go with them to see the president. As they began to walk back, Old Man was injured and began to regenerate. The Sontarans sent the team ahead while they began to fight this unknown threat. A team of Netans then arrived and took Old Man somewhere safe while leading the team to the president’s office.

The team arrived in the President’s office and encountered the Timelord council as well as the Yaniri alliance (which the team had never heard of before. The alliance is composed of the Sontarans, the Netans, and the Timelords). The President introduced the council and the alliance to the team, and cryptically stated that he was the one who killed them in the past and stole the Legacy of Rassilon. During the conversation with the President, Raptor 7 found out that one of the Sontarans present in the room was General Stahl. He drew his weapon and threatened to kill Stahl, but the sheer number of armed opponents was enough deterrent that Raptor 7 put his weapon away. The President (revealed to be the Timekeeper) and his advisors finished explaining that they were losing the time war with almost no chance of winning. They then explained that there might be a powerful ally that they could recruit to help them win the war.

Everyone agreed (reluctantly), and the Timekeeper opened a portal using Ashilon’s book (which he had taken from the corpse of future Ashilon). The team consisted of a few Timelords, some Netans (including Raptor 7’s successor), and a few Sontarans (including General Stahl), as well as a Cyberman called Little Helper (programed by Old Man). They all landed in an empty desert and walked aimlessly (after an argument between Raptor 7 and Stahl revealed that Commander Sarg was actually responsible for the deaths of his family) until they encountered a creature called an Ergon. They defeated the creature, but it shot a few of them, seemingly vaporizing them. The rest continued forward and saw a light.

The team attempted to communicate with Gallifrey through the Cyberman, and a newly regenerated Old Man answered. He told them that they were there to recruit Omega, and the team realized that Old Man had regenerated into Santa Clause. They walked toward the light and fought another group of three Ergon, and the only ones to ‘survive’ the fight were Ashilon, Raptor 7, General Stahl, and Little Helper. They managed to reach the source of the light and found that it was coming from a palace. They entered the palace and realized that the whole place was forming around them. After a while, they found their ‘dead’ teammates and were tricked into being trapped in a cell with them. They attempted to communicate with Omega, and after a long wait, Omega invited Ashilon, Raptor 7, Stahl, and Little Helper into the throne room of his palace.

They tried to convince him to return to the matter dimension and help fight the unnamed future enemy, but he refused. He had been betrayed by the Timelords twice before; once by Rassilon, and once by a Timelord calling himself John Smith. After a bit of arguing, Omega decided that he would steal Ashilon’s body (both to use it, and as revenge against Rassilon) and conquer the matter dimension as he had the anti-matter dimension. He attempted to possess Ashilon, but the Legacy of Rassilon stopped the process and pushed everyone back with a pulse of energy. Ashilon opened the book and it showed her how to dissipate Omega. She did so (at the cost of one of her regenerations), and Omega powerlessly raged against Rassilon as the world began to collapse around them.

General Stahl suggested that Ashilon use the Legacy of Rassilon to create a portal just as the Timekeeper had before. She did so, and the portal lifted everyone into the air. It created two portals, and Ashilon, Raptor 7, and Little Helper landed on a planet in the matter dimension while the rest were sent back to their future time zone. Old Man communicated to the team through the Cyberman and gave Ashilon the device he promised to her on Procyon Zeta. He then told them that they were about three feet away from Tovar, and about two hundred years too early for their planned rendezvous at the source of the rifts.

S2 Ep1: The Shattered Planet
Stranded without their Tardis or any clue as to where they might be...

The team found themselves in the middle of a desert on the planet where they were supposed to meet Tovar, but they had arrived 200 years too early. After making sure everyone was okay, they started deciding what they should do next. Little Helper’s arm had fallen off because of the fall from the portal and the events of their trip to the anti-matter universe, and Ashilon helped reattach it using her sonic screwdriver.

The sonic screwdriver was detected by a patrol of soldiers, who decided to investigate the sonic activity. The team hid behind a nearby rock and used Little Helper to try and talk to the soldiers, but the soldiers decided that the Cyberman had to be a weapon and their leader ordered that the android be destroyed. Little Helper followed the order himself and destroyed his own body, detaching his head and crawling toward the team. With their position now revealed to the soldiers, the team was forced to defend themselves. Ashilon was injured, but Raptor 7 managed to hold his own.

After a while, the fight was interrupted by a group of four Judoon who defeated three of the five soldiers. The remaining two ran away, and the Judoon asked the team to identify themselves by name and species. They seemed confused when Ashilon said she was from Gallifrey, and demanded that they be lead to the nearest civilized area. The team explained that they were unable to, as they were also new to the planet.

They all began to walk in the direction that the soldiers fled (Ashilon carrying Little Helper’s head), and they noticed that there was a destroyed dome on the other side of a strange shimmering window that stretched from the ground up into the sky. They walked through the window to find that the ground was like glass. They then noticed an intact domed city off in the distance. They decided to go toward the domed city rather than the ruins, and Little Helper told them that they were now in the same time coordinate as Tovar and that his Tardis was in the ruins. They continued on toward the domed city along with the Judoon until they encountered a Dalek. The Judoon managed to stop the Dalek, and they told the team all about the Daleks. The team decided that it would be unwise to try and enter the city while it was filled with Daleks, and they instead started walking back toward the ruins from earlier.

Once they reached the ruins, they were reunited with Tovar and the Judoon demanded that he identify himself. He said that he was a Timelord and the Judoon accused him of lying because there is only one Timelord left, and he was not that Timelord. They argued for a bit before Tovar brought them all into his Tardis to show them that the source of the time rifts would occur very soon on this planet somewhere in the domed city. They were unable to identify the planet because it had not yet been discovered by the Timelords. Tovar believed that the rifts came from an exploding time machine, and said that they could not leave the planet until the event was prevented.

The team decided that they needed to prevent the time capsule from being destroyed, and so they walked back toward the domed city. They managed to make it to the main entrance of the dome without any problems, and the Judoon kicked the door down. What remained of Little Helper was able to trace the time echos and pointed them toward a building. They heard the voice of Davros over loudspeakers calling for the guard to be increased due to one of the Daleks going missing. The team made their way toward the installation, noticing that the city was in disrepair. A group of Daleks attacked them, but only the Judoon were noticed. The team manages to sneak their way into the installation while the Judoon unwittingly acted as a distraction.

They entered the facility and found scientists working on what looked to be a prototype time capsule. Daleks began bearing down on the team after they accidentally tripped an alarm, and one of the scientists ran into the capsule in a panicked attempt to escape and preserve the experiment from harm. The capsule was incomplete, and so it exploded the moment it was activated. This caused time to shatter, and portals through time appeared throughout Skaro. Some of these portals were impenetrable, protecting the team from their Dalek pursuers, but also separating them from Tovar. Tovar told them to continue on without him, saying that he might be able to use the pieces of the damaged capsule to build a way out. The team reunited with the Judoon and made their way back to Tovar’s Tardis in an effort to escape.

Along the way, they realized that the portals actually lead them from one time period to the next, fluctuating from the past (pre-Dalek), the present (early Dalek/destruction of capsule), and future (the timewar). After witnessing the raw power of the Daleks by viewing a massive battle from the future time war, they finally arrived at Tovar’s Tardis. They were unable to get in, but Ashilon’s own Tardis unexpectedly arrived as if it had been sent to her location.

The team and the Judoon entered the Tardis and were greeted by a recording of The Timekeeper. He announced that he was now Lord President of Gallifrey, and presented the dead body of Borusa to them as proof. He then told them that he had the Tardis modified, and it could only go to locations that he had programmed in for them. He gave them the choice between helping locate a missing scientist on Procyon Zeta, eliminating Davros on future Skaro, or investigating a downed Dalek ship on planet Sontar. They chose to go to Sontar, and the Tardis began it’s journey there.

S2 Ep2: Enemy of the Daleks
A shaky alliance is formed...

The team arrived on planet Sontar and met both Commander Sarg and Stav. They entered the nearby Dalek ship to find it empty, but undamaged. They continued their investigation of the ship and found cages filled with multiple alien species, one of whom was a mysterious man dressed as a cowboy. They talked to him for a while and decided to risk releasing all of the prisoners from the holding area.

This set off an alarm and activated some Dalek Puppets. The Puppets were in the way of the team’s escape, and so everyone took cover in the bridge. Raptor 7 checked the computers on the bridge and found some communication logs that showed that The Timekeeper had been trying to form an alliance with Davros.

Meanwhile, Stav and Jack worked to hold off the puppets. More puppets arrived and Raptor 7 decided to help them out. Ashilon took over the investigation of the computer and found a video revealing that the Daleks had a box in the holding area that none of them had noticed. The box was opened by a rift, and three weeping angels exited. The ship was then emptied of Daleks, and the angels escaped through the rift (arriving on Procyon Zeta after being lured in by Tovar’s scanner).

Stav attempted to lead the rest of the creatures out of the ship once the way out seemed to be clear, and Jack returned to the others and helped them continue their investigation of the ships computers. Stav encountered even more Dalek Puppets on the way to the exit, but managed to take on all four of them on his own.

Everyone then regrouped near the holding area, where Sarg challenged Raptor 7 to a battle to the death. Raptor 7 won, and the rest of the team (except Jack, who disappeared) returned to the Tardis to continue their mission. Stav reported to the Sontaran battle fleet that the Dalek ship was operational and ready for pick-up, and then he asked to join the Tardis crew and help with their mission. They accepted his offer, and then called Gallifrey to confront the Timekeeper about his involvement with Davros. The Timekeeper told them that they were cleaning up his mess for him, and that they still had more work to do. The team selected their next mission, and ventured off to Procyon Zeta to retrieve the Timelord scientist.

S2 Ep3: The Battle of Procyon Zeta
The Time-war is now in full swing...

As the Tardis made it’s way toward their destination on Procyon Zeta, Ashilon noticed a beeping sound that she realized was coming from the device that Old Man had given her. She took the device apart to investigate it, but reassembled it when it stopped working. This restored the device to normal and it began beeping again.

The Tardis informed Ashilon that there was a message for her. The message was from the Timekeeper, and he informed them that the Daleks had begun to invade the planet in order to find a Timelord scientist named Maslaton (who specialized in decoding Dalek messages).

The Tardis landed and said ‘Oops…. Close enough’ because it’s Chameleon Circuit failed to make a perfect disguise. It disguised itself like the coral buildings nearby, but it got the color wrong. The inhabitants of the village had all noticed the strange blue coral building and started staring at it. The team researched the creatures (called Tcharnaia) in the Tardis database before walking out to greet them.

Ashilon stepped out first and informed the Tcharnaia that they had come in peace… just in time to realize that a soldier was standing right next to her and guarding the door with a Staser. More soldiers were called to help the first one, and the team was ordered to drop all weapons. One of those soldiers then went and gathered an elder, and another asked Ashilon how she made the coral on her house blue. The elder asked them how they had escaped the Timelord facility and the team decided to make up a story about arriving to investigate a distress signal. Ashilon held out Old Man’s communicator as a fake signal device, and the elder swiped it and took it apart. Another approached them and told them about the fate of the Timelord facility. The team learned that it was very likely that a group of Timelords had escaped the Dalek attack in a submarine and made it into the shelter of one of the nearby caves.

After they had learned this, they were reintroduced to Amelia. She informed them that she was not happy with the fact that she had been stranded on an alien planet after the team had promised to get her to safety. The team agreed to take her home if she would help them locate Maslaton, and she decided to go along regardless to make sure they did not leave her behind again. They saw a wanted poster of Jack the Traveler which accused him of many crimes, which was noticed on the way to arrange for transport. The Tcharnaia noticed that Ashilon was not armored, and so they made her some coral armor.

The team was assigned five guards and pointed in the direction of the marshes. About 2/3 of the way through their journey, the team noticed a Dalek ship overhead. Two Daleks then flew in from overhead; one landing in the water and getting stuck, and the other landing on solid ground. The Tcharnaia distracted the Daleks long enough for the team to escape (and none survive), and they made it to the caves. They found the right cave and spoke with Maslaton, arriving at the decision to return to the Tcharnaia village in order to escape.

They worked with the Timelords to defeat the Dalek that had pursued them through the marshes and quickly made their way back to the village. The village was under attack, and so the other Timelords ran in to join the fight on the ground while the Tcharnaia defended the skies. The team snuck around behind the buildings and made it to a hanger. They come across a young Tcharnaia who had rebuilt the communication device and coated it in coral, and they took off in Tcharnaia ships to help defend the village.

They successfully destroyed the Daleks and landed next to the Tardis. Ashilon noticed a small, green pin shaped like a question mark which had been in her pocket. They entered the Tardis along with Amelia, the Tcharnaia, and Maslaton. They called for a pickup for Maslaton, and he was safely returned to Gallifrey. They decided to keep the Tcharnaia around and Amelia decided that she would keep an eye on it in order to keep it from tearing everything apart. Amelia forced them to decide whether she would be returned home or not, and they tell her that they might need her to help (this is a stall tactic). The team then took off for Skaro to continue their mission.
